A Toolkit For Dealing with Tough Changes
April 29, 2020 at 11:00AM As celeb holistic health coach, Koya Webb says below, many of life’s big changes are celebrated, but others are far more difficult and too often we deal with them alone. Lately, the world has been churning with change and that has left some of us grasping for tools and the strength to adjust in good emotional, physical and mental health. We loved learning through this toolkit inspired by Koya’s timely new book, Let Your Fears Make You Fierce… A Tool Kit for Dealing With Tough Changes Life is filled with major changes. There are the changes we look forward to – such as turning the magical age of 18, moving into a new home you love, or a long-awaited pregnancy. And sometimes, the changes are a bit tougher. Whether experiencing a job loss, income decrease, a death or health concerns for yourself or a loved one – our lives are often marked by tough changes. I remember when I experienced a major change in the form of what could’ve been a career-ending track injury. At the time, I was at the peak of my career and even had a chance of going to the Olympics. Track and field was what I ate, slept and breathed; so much of my identity was tied to the sport. And thus, when I found myself sidelined, I was heartbroken. What if I can never run track again? What am I going to do with my life? What is my purpose? How do

April 29, 2020 at 06:40PM It’s been more than 20 years since the ’90s came to a close, and yet we’re more obsessed than ever with the decade. Our fashion has never felt more influenced by the trends that ruled so many years ago than it does now. Pretty much every look we’re obsessed with lately seems to have ’90s roots: baggy jeans, cute cardigans, slip dresses, tube tops, bucket hats, platforms, chunky sandals. We could keep going . . . On the topic of shoe trends, it dawned on us that so many of our current favorites – of the sneakers, sandal, and boot variety – are from specific brands, including New Balance, Reebok, Adidas, Dr. Martens, Converse, and Nike. All of these labels were hugely popular in the ’90s, whether it was a cult-loved combat boot, hip high-top, or time-honored trainer. So, we thought it’d be fun to roundup some of the most popular ’90s shoe brands that are still totally on-trend today! Plus, we’re shopping out some of the most beloved styles, which range from clean and classic to a little more fashion-forward and, of course, retro-inspired. Jennifer Aniston Loves This Tik Tok Quarantine Remix of the Friends Theme Song
April 29, 2020 at 06:08PM Getty ImagesGetty Images The original Friends theme song is already as real as it gets. But can you imagine what the it would sound like if Joey, Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler and Phoebe were living in 2020 during a global pandemic? One Tik Tok user named JC Stewart brilliantly described how the crew would probably cope in quarantine in his remake of the classic sitcom opener. (The claps remain intact, of course.) “It looks like we’ll be inside for a year/Well, it might only be a day, a week, a month, it’s really not clear,” he sings, replacing The Rembrandts’ original lyrics to relate to lockdown. According to Stewart, quarantine life for the Friends would include opening the fridge multiple times a day and binge-watching Netflix’s Tiger King series. Sound familiar? Hours after posting his remake, Jennifer Anniston, who played Rachel Green on the series, posted Stewart’s cover to her Instagram story. Casual. “So. Jennifer Aniston put me on her Instagram story,” Stewart announced on Twitter. “It is at this point that I would like to announce my retirement due to having peaked so unbelievably hard.” So. Who is Carrie Symonds? All you need to know about Boris Johnson’s fiancée – Mirror Online
Who is Carrie Symonds? All you need to know about Boris Johnson’s fiancée – Mirror Online Boris Johnson’s fiancée Carrie Symonds has given birth to a baby boy, just days after Prime Minister returned to work. It’s understood the Prime Minister was with his 32-year-old partner throughout the birth at a London hospital, with the boy being delivered on Wednesday morning. Their baby was born two months to the day after her pregnancy – and their engagement – was announced on Instagram. The news makes Mr Johnson just the fourth Prime Minister in 150 years to have a baby while in office, and is believed to be at least Mr Johnson’s sixth child. Her due date has never been publicly revealed, and today’s announcement comes nine months after the couple moved into Downing Street and three months after Mr Johnson was fighting for his life in intensive care with coronavirus. Early life and education Carrie Symonds is the daughter of Matthew Symonds, founder of The Independent, and one of the paper’s lawyers, Josephine McAffee. Her education saw her attend the £20,000-a-year Godolphin and Latymer School in Hammersmith, west London. She went on to read theatre studies and history of art at the University of Warwick, graduating with a first class degree in 2009. Her upbringing is a far cry from that of her great-grandmother, Emily Beaven. Emily Beaven was a Labour activist and trade union champion who worked as a magistrate and councillor. Beaven fought for women’s rights
