It’s Only April—but These Are Already the Sandals of 2020
April 26, 2020 at 07:05AM Every summer, there’s a standout sandal style that seems to be just about everywhere. Two years ago, it was The Row’s barely-there strappy sandals, and last year Bottega Veneta’s square-toe mules were ubiquitous amongst the fashion set. And while spring/summer 2020 has only just begun, already this year we’re seeing one key footwear style start to emerge as the frontrunner for shoe of the season. Yes, it may only be April and we might be spending much less time in shoes, but platform flip flops have already started showing up all over our social media feeds, solidifying themselves as the style of summer. The Row can once again certainly be credited for sparking the return of these ’90s shoes, thanks to its £700 luxury leather iteration, which have been worn by Monikh, Lucy Williams and Brittany Bathgate. Lucy Williams wearing the Ginza flip flops by The Row. If these flip flops feel familiar, it’s because they featured in many 90s teenage shows and films—Julia Stiles wore a similar pair in the cult film 10 Things I Hate About You. They also look like they are straight from a Mary Kate and Ashley straight-to-VHS film from the ’90s. Monikh wearing the Ginza flip flops by The Row. Shoes of this style have unsurprisingly also started to pop up across contemporary and high-street brands. Neous have created their own flip flops, featuring a unique wooden platform detail, while Mango have also jumped on the trend offering a heeled version of
7 Spring Dress Trends That Feel Fresh for 2020
April 26, 2020 at 06:34AM While flowers blooming and birds chirping are usually the first indications that spring is here, in the fashion industry we use a slightly different metric. The arrival of new spring collections is what signals the end of winter for fashion editors, as brightly coloured skirts and sleeveless dresses begin appearing online. We saw several trends emerge from the S/S 20 runways, including crochet dresses and those that featured unique cutouts. While more wearable staples including puff-sleeve dresses, polka-dot dresses and polo-neck dresses were equally as popular. Minimalism reigned again thanks to Bottega Veneta, while maximalists were accounted for with voluminous tiered dresses which appeared at Christopher Kane and Molly Goddard. Interestingly enough, several of the season’s biggest dress trends are often used in conjunction with each other. For example, Asceno has released a tiered dress with polka dots on it, while Ephemera puff-sleeve dress also featured cutouts. It’s a have your cake and eat it too, kind of situation this spring. Keep scrolling for a closer look at spring’s biggest dress trends. It’s official, the puff sleeve isn’t going anywhere. We loved this trend last year, and according to the spring 2020 runways, the look is here to stay. Spotted at Valentino, Khaite, Mara Hoffman and Brock Collection (to name a few), it seems we’ll all be wearing exaggerated sleeves again. Thanks to Bottega Veneta and The Row leading the way, minimalism has remained on our radar. Where dresses are concerned, this translates to solid colours in interesting shapes

Hands Down, This Is One of the Best Body Scrubs Around and It’s Only £12
April 26, 2020 at 06:00AM Can you believe that we’ve made it through five whole weeks of lockdown? I only ask because it’s hard to keep track of days right now—I had to actually count the days in a diary to work out how long it had been. It’s probably the most amount of consecutive time we’ve ever spent in our homes. For me, the hours have both dragged and gone incredibly fast and I seem to have lost all perspective of time without a “real” weekend to punctuate my working week. While I would usually spend some of Saturday or Sunday night painting my nails, plucking brows, and maybe even applying fake tan or a face mask, I’ve stopped doing all those small treats. Mainly because I’m not going out but also because I’m genuinely losing track of days. But starting from now, I’m going to make more of an effort. And what’s prompted me to have such a change of heart? Just this week I spotted Franks Body scrubs are now stocked on & Other Stories and I remembered what an incredible product it is. The brand was originally launched in 2014 in Australia and has now gained a cult following by beauty editors and skincare obsessives. It’s formulated with coffee grinds, almond oil, vitamin E and sea salt and, while it smells delicious, it also gives your body a proper scrub and leaves it super smooth. It’s natural and vegan-friendly and promises to help with breakouts, scars, cellulite and stretch
