These Are the Prettiest Spring Accessories I Could Find
May 23, 2020 at 09:00PM I don’t know about you, but I’m really in the mood to practically toss aside my style and let it run wild. Every spring feels like a perfect time to scroll the internet for unnecessarily gorgeous accessories, but this year feels especially so. Just plain gorgeous, not necessarily practical, accessories. Because for me (and I suspect I’m not alone), there’s such a lovely comfort in looking at beautiful things. Sometimes accessories don’t need to serve any other purpose than to spark joy in one’s outfits. Do I need a pink straw hat, a pearl headband or a satin bag right now? Practically speaking, maybe not, but I do love them, and that’s enough for me. But there’s something priceless about the way wearing adorable accessories is making me feel at the minute. I’ve been wearing clip-on earrings around the house recently, just because I can. Spring is in the air, and I am in the mood to lighten my look with the prettiest of pieces. These accessories don’t need a reason for being in one’s wardrobe other than the fact that they are just plain adorable. May 23, 2020 at 05:40PM After spending the last few weeks obsessing over Michael Jordan’s legacy and his portrayal in The Last Dance, it’s hard to imagine him wearing anything other than a Chicago Bulls jersey. But as it became so evidently clear through the 10-part docuseries, Michael is as passionate and competitive about golf as he was about basketball, so we decided to look back at some of his most iconic ensembles while on the green. Let me first start by saying this man had swag. I’m not talking about someone who lackadaisically Happy Gilmore-d his way onto golf courses wearing flannels and jerseys (though we know he had plenty of the latter). Even while he was still in the NBA, Michael took his golf game seriously, and that was beautifully reflected in his meticulous polo and sweater vest pairings, his collection of sleek white Nikes, and of course, his plaid pants. His affinity for bucket hats and striped shorts in the late ’90s was basically replicated by every girl on Instagram last summer, and how he was onto the tiny sunglasses trend in 2001 just shows what an icon he is. May 23, 2020 at 02:00PM Victoria’s Secret plans to close stores across Canada and the US Photography by Taylor Hill/FilmMagic After plenty of media attention and the affects of COVID-19, the parent company of Victoria’s Secret, L Brands, has announced that they will close one quarter of its retail stores in the US and Canada. Partial closures due to COVID-19 are said to be responsible for a 55 per cent sale of the brand falling through and thus putting the company at risk. The lingerie giant has been criticized for not evolving and for a number of questionable comments from its executives in recent years. Since cancelling any future fashion shows, the brand has made moves to modernize with the introduction of a more diverse group of models including plus sized and transgender models, however closures due to quarantine have still had their affect and Victoria’s Secret’s presence in Canada will soon be limited. Old Navy Just Released Matching Short Sets, and I’m Scooping Them Up

Spending time in nonrestricting clothing like a matching sweatsuit or soft fleece gives me permission to spend the day however I wish. Whether it’s doing a craft project with my daughter, curling up on the couch to read a good book, or lying in bed to do work and online shop, dressing for myself in something matching and soft is what makes the day. This morning, I came across a soft terry striped short sweatsuit set from Old Navy and essentially gasped when I saw it, it’s that adorable.
