3 Daily Rituals To Help You Overcome Burnout, Anxiety + Stress

May 29, 2020 at 10:42AM When was the last time you felt a deep sense of consistent contentment or trust in the timing of your life and everything happening in it? When was the last time you had an innate inner joy that made you marvel at the universe and it’s timing? If it’s been awhile, then it might be time to get up close and personal with yourself and try on some new ways of connecting, integrating and aligning with the universe and your higher self. Kelsey Patel is one of LA’s leading wellness and reiki experts, and an expert in burnout. In her new book, Burning Bright: Rituals, Reiki, and Self-Care to Heal Burnout, Anxiety, and Stress  Kelsey shares the tools she uses in one-on-one work with her clients — many of them struggling with massive career burnout and anxiety. According to Patel, “Joy is not something that is outside of us. In order to feel and receive joy on a daily basis, we need to know what it’s like to have that feeling inside of ourselves without needing anything else. We already possess and own the skills needed to make joy a bigger presence in our day-to-day lives. Often times, we are just stuck and committed to a pre-programmed approach that we have likely been engaging in for years. “In order to feel something new, we have to try something new and change our own cycles and rhythms. Whether it’s the way we wake up or the way

Can You Overdose When Taking Supplement Varieties?

May 29, 2020 at 10:11AM Most of the population consume supplements to make up for what they’re not receiving nutritionally in their diets. Unfortunately, in many situations, more vitamins are taken into a person’s system than what’s recommended by medical practitioners. There is a lot of misinformation leading consumers to believe that higher doses give more significant benefits. In fact, […] The post Can You Overdose When Taking Supplement Varieties? appeared first on SafeandHealthylife. Continue Reading… Author Safe and Healthy Life Expert | Safeandhealthy Selected by CWC

Grilled Asparagus Salad

May 29, 2020 at 10:00AM Change up your usual summer salad with this veggie-packed grilled asparagus salad. Made with just a few simple ingredients but loaded with smokey and delicious flavor for a new summer side or meal. I think what I love most about summer cooking is how little work you have to do for the food to taste delicious. Summer produce naturally shines and it’s probably the only time of year I actually enjoy eating salads. While I love me some good squash, I’m a sucker for all things summer so when asparagus season rolls around signalling it’s begun I truly get giddy inside. Adios squash! Bring on the asparagus, summer berries and zucchini. Not to mention my deep love for all things peaches. We’ve been grilling up a storm around here now that the weather has warmed up and we actually have a backyard. I’m definitely the grill master of this family so dinners lately have been throwing everything on the grill for a full meal. This grilled asparagus salad paired with my honey mustard salmon is a particular favorite. I’m keeping this post short and sweet, just like this recipe! Sometimes less is more so you can really let the meal […] The post Grilled Asparagus Salad appeared first on The Healthy Maven. This Is How You Should Really Be Using Your Facial Roller

May 29, 2020 at 06:30AM As we all seem to be taking a little more time with our skincare routines at the moment, the lengths to which we will go for great skin are increasing. From skin peels and sheet masks to spot treatments and retinols, if a product promises glowing, healthy-looking skin, we want in. With that being said, there are some products that we require a little more persuasion on before we part with our hard-earned cash. One of those products is facial rollers. As we find ourselves with a little more time on our hands, we’ve noticed an increase in the number of people Boomeranging themselves using a facial roller on Instagram Stories. But besides looking pretty and feeling good, does anyone know what they claim to do, and more importantly, how we’re actually supposed to use them? To help save any confusion and to make sure you’re really getting the most out of your rolling session, keep scrolling for everything you need to know.   Coming in a variety of shapes and sizes, facial rollers themselves can range from crystal cylinders and metal balls right through to ridged wheels and icy tubes. The roller you’re probably most familiar with, however, is the traditional jade or quartz roller thanks to its abundant social media coverage. And although the pretty jade rollers of Instagram might seem like a new fad, they’ve actually been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years. The theory went that rolling crystals across your skin could help

Out of All of the French Skincare Brands, This One Is by Far the Most Underrated

May 29, 2020 at 06:30AM When it comes to French skincare, I’m all in. Any product that promises to give that naturally radiant, smooth-as-butter, signature French complexion goes straight in my basket. And the truth is, while so many skincare products fail to live up to my (albeit exceptionally high) expectations, French brands just seem to get it right every single time. My skin is sensitive but prone to congestion and excess oil on my T-zone, and trying to find products that strike a healthy balance between purifying and non-aggressive has always been tough. For years, I have relied on French skincare brands such as La Roche-Posay and Bioderma to keep my skin from either breaking out in blackheads or breaking out in red irritation. With help from La Roche-Posay’s expert-approved Toleriane range and Bioderma’s Sébium, I have always managed to keep things in check. But not so long ago, I realised that in all of my attempts to keep my skin from flaring up, it had lost its glow. It was clear and even, sure, but it lacked a certain je ne sais quoi. I needed some form of lightweight hydration to inject some life back into my tired complexion, so I started phasing in different moisturisers and serums. While some turned my skin red and sore, most broke me out. Until I remembered an old classic from, you guessed it, another French skincare brand. In the depths of my cupboard, I pulled out a long-forgotten bottle of Vichy Minéral 89 Serum (£25). Lightweight, cooling
