May 06, 2020 at 09:07PM Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik’s bond is strong as they prepare to welcome their first child together. After their exciting baby news dropped last week, the couple have been flooded with congratulatory messages, from late-night host Jimmy Fallon to George the Jeweler. On Sunday, the designer sent his well-wishes to the parents-to-be over Instagram with a snap of their meaningful matching accessories. George Khalife shared a photo of Gigi and Zayn’s wrists, both adorned with gold bracelets featuring a diamond evil eye charm. This piece of jewelry could mean a variety of things, but judging by George’s caption: “Good vibes only for this beautiful couple!!” – I’ll venture a guess that they’re hoping to attract positivity and deflect any negative energy as they get ready to expand their family, especially since their pregnancy news wasn’t announced in the way they planned. Take a peek at their bracelets above, and then keep reading to shop similar accessories for yourself. I’ve Probably Tried on 100+ T-Shirts, but This $14 Find Is My New Holy Grail Staple
May 06, 2020 at 09:01PM Call me a t-shirt aficionado. I am so particular about the wardrobe staple, and as a shopping editor, I’ve tested at least one-hundred styles. A great tee can’t be see-through, and when I wash it, the quality must remain the same. Additionally, the sleeves can’t be too short or too long; the fit should be stylish, not tacky or outdated. See what I mean? I’m picky! Of all the options I’ve tried, these Old Navy Tees ($10-$14) are my absolute favorites. They check all my boxes and the prices can’t be beat. Most of the brand’s t-shirts come in sizes XS-XXL and types regular, tall, and petite. The designs are tag-free, so there’s no annoying itchiness at your neck or side. The fabric is soft and relaxed, but not flimsy or thin. These tees are all-around winners. Ahead, I provided the info for my exact shirt, as well as similar options in different colors. Take my word for it and stock up on these awesome wardrobe staples before they go out of stock. Skin Freaking Out Since You’ve Been in Isolation? You’re Not Alone
May 06, 2020 at 08:50PM It’s been almost two months since we began social distancing and if you’re anything like me, your skin has not dealt well with the transition from normal life to this new ‘normal’ we find ourselves in. Almost immediately upon staying at home, my skin had a total freakout – I’m talking cystic acne, weird dry patches, redness, the whole kit and caboodle. A quick poll of my Instagram followers showed me that I’m not alone in this either, with so many of my friends responding to tell me that their skin has also freaked out since we began this period of isolation. “There are a lot of things going on,” says Liz Kwitman, the vice president of education at Caudalie, highlighting several contributing factors. “With people being indoors now and under a great deal of stress, they’re doing a couple of things that can be a little bit dangerous for their skin, like stress eating things that are not great for the body as they lack nutrients which can affect how skin acts and feels. People are also getting much more exposure to free radicals – particularly blue light – as we’re living in front of our computers and television screens.” Stress, she says, is one of the biggest factors, particularly when combined with free radical exposure. “When you’re stressed your body produces more cortisol and when it is produced, it tells your body to increase the production of oil. If you’re producing more oil

Could Nail Art Be the Next Frontier of Gender-Neutral Beauty?
May 06, 2020 at 07:16PM Since splitting from One Direction and emerging as a solo artist in 2017, Harry Styles has become somewhat of a poster child for eccentric men’s fashion in the world of mainstream pop music. (Think paisley prints, floral suits, sheer women’s blouses and costume jewellery.) The 26-year-old has also been using beauty—nail art in particular—to play with the notion of genderless style. While Styles may not be a nail art pioneer (after all, men have been wearing nail polish for ages), his penchant for two-toned, playful nail art has not gone unnoticed. These days, he joins the growing list of male celebrities, including the likes of Pete Davidson, Bad Bunny, Ansel Elgort, Jaden Smith and A$AP Rocky, who are using nail polish to amplify their personal style. What do the aforementioned celebrities have in common? Other than the fact that they’re all entertainers, not a whole lot. They exist within different genres of music and even entirely different avenues of entertainment—and that’s the point. While nail polish has adorned the fingertips of famous artist types in the past (like Kurt Cobain, Iggy Pop, Marc Bolan and David Bowie), it used to be a symbol of a certain counterculture—be it grunge, punk or glam rock. Black nail polish in particular, and the subcultures in which it resided, symbolized a deviation from the norm. Figures like Harry Styles and A$AP Rocky have brought men’s nail art back into the spotlight But these days, with genderless fashion and beauty
