May 23, 2020 at 06:30AM If the last few weeks have taught us anything about beauty, it’s that a face mask really is the ultimate form of self-care. With a bit more free time on our hands, I think it’s safe to say we’re all masking more than ever. In fact, our Who What Wear editors’ instant chat has seen talk of masks increase tenfold. Where as previously we’d reach for a face mask once in a blue moon, when our skin was looking particular dismal, now we’ve found ourselves asking if there is such a thing as too much masking. And the answer is, kinda, sorta. You see, face masks shouldn’t be used flippantly. They contain some of the most hardworking and potent ingredients around, meaning they have the ability to make or break your complexion. If you ask me, it is all too often because of this blasé approach to masking that so many people complain of post-mask breakouts. The truth is, masks shouldn’t cause angry breakouts. Providing you have found the right formula for you, they should better your complexion. The key is in working out which masks your specific skin type will benefit from. To help make things easier for you, keep scrolling for the best masks for every concern. If your skin is feeling particularly dry, a moisturising face mask could be just what it needs. Look for creamy formulas and deeply hydrating sheets that work to repair the barrier and deliver essential nourishment. Steer clear of anything deeply exfoliating

6 Epic Celebrity Throwback Outfits I’d Happily Wear Today
May 23, 2020 at 06:04AM Given the state of the world right now, I have found myself longing for simpler times. Between watching reruns of old Friends episodes and perusing vintage celebrity images on Instagram, it seems I have a serious case of nineties nostalgia. Though my new obsession with all things old has not just become a way to pass the time, it’s also proven to be quite a fruitful exercise in outfit inspiration. Between the faded denim, clean tailoring and simple silhouettes, many of the chic celebrity looks I’ve come across from the decade would not feel out of place over 20 years later. In fact, several of the outfits feel so modern, I’d happy re-wear them today if I could. Jennifer Aniston sported a floral maxi to an event in 1997, which looks eerily similar to many iterations on the market this summer. Cameron Diaz wore a skirt-suit–and-sneaker combo in 1994, which also happens to be the outfit formula we saw influencers wearing at London’s most recent fashion week. Tyra Banks’ 1996 airport attire looks like it could have been photographed just yesterday, while the crochet midi dress Naomi Campbell wore in 1997 is so on-trend, I could have sworn an extra is wearing it in Harry Styles’ latest music video. I guess everything that was once old is new again. Keep scrolling for six celebrity throwback outfits we’d happily wear today. Next up, the biggest S/S 20 fashion trends you need to know. This French Grandmother Just Landed the Coolest Modelling Gig in Fashion
May 23, 2020 at 06:00AM The lockdown has provided endless challenges for businesses around the world, however, it has been amazing to see which brands have quickly innovated and thought of ways to carry on working while still closely following the restrictions. As photoshoots have now been cancelled, one of the main hurdles for fashion brands is how they can photograph their upcoming collections. Models are shooting campaigns by themselves on their sofas and photographers are transforming front rooms into makeshift studios. One of the best solutions I’ve seen is Jacquemus’ latest images, where the designer, Simon Porte Jacquemus, photographed his grandmother Liline among the spring blossom in France in his designs. It’s the perfect snapshot for summer 2020 when family is top of mind for many—whether we’re missing those we’re close to or are quaratined with them. Liline models the collection beautifully, posing in a boxy bright-pink blazer and carrying as many of the iconic handbags as she can. Keep scrolling to see the coolest grandmother in fashion. We Just Tried on the Bra That Claims to Be One-Size-Fits-All
May 23, 2020 at 06:00AM A few weeks ago, I was kindly sent a newly released underwear set from Sloggi, a brand that, in all honesty, I hadn’t really come across before. What really made me sit up and pay attention, however, was the fact that the bra and pants were being branded as one-size-fits-all. Seriously. Coming in a range of colourways, the bra is a crop-top style with a deep-V and thick shoulder straps, while the underwear comes in two fits: high-waisted and hipster. Is it really possible to make something as important as underwear fit all body shapes? I was highly dubious and worried this might be a poorly judged brand message, so was keen to find out… Personally, I fell in love with the set the moment I tried it on (see my full review below) and proceeded to wax poetic to the rest of the team about my new discovery. However, I really wanted to road test the design’s single-size credentials, as I couldn’t quite believe that a bra could fit someone as small-busted as myself as well as my curvier colleagues. So, naturally, I called in the troops—aka Who What Wear’s editors—to put the underwear through its paces. Sloggi’s go-round pants on Stephanie Broek. As a team, we range from a UK 6 to a UK 12, and bra sizes 30C to 32DD, so obviously, we can’t speak for every body shape and bust size, however, hopefully, we can give some sense of the extent of the underwear’s multisize

Windbreakers, Berets, and, Of Course, Sneakers: Looking Back at Michael Jordan’s ’90s Style
May 22, 2020 at 09:47PM Who was the Michael Jordan of fashion in the ’90s? Gianni Versace? Kate Moss? Jean Paul Gaultier? Naomi Campbell? As it turns out, Michael Jordan himself wasn’t so bad either. Michael’s effortlessly cool fashion sense is among the many things recently illuminated by The Last Dance, ESPN’s Shakespearean sports docuseries about the Chicago Bulls throughout the 1990s. Though the iconic athlete is primarily known for wearing donning that famous red jersey and basketball shorts, the rare footage used in the series offers insight into his off-the-court style at the time, which was marked by cool athleisure, power suits, a single earring, the occasional beret, and, of course, countless pairs of Nikes. As the originator of the Air Jordan, Michael’s lasting influence on sneaker culture and streetwear is undeniable – in fact, a pair of his game-worn Air Jordan 1 sneakers were just auctioned off by Sotheby’s for $560K – and we can’t help but find commonalities between Michael’s ’90s style and existing normcore (or, better yet, dadcore) trends. The windbreakers! The chunky sneakers! The sporty sunglasses! The baby blue dad jeans! The parallels are certainly there. Take a closer look by browsing some of our favorite nostalgic outfits worn by Michael ahead.
