May 18, 2020 at 06:00AM Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like they physically won’t be able to return to jeans once we come out of lockdown? Don’t get me wrong. It’s not like I’ve been schlepping around in pyjamas 24/7, but even when I put on a nice blouse, I’ve been pairing it with waist-friendly joggers or knitted trousers. When I wrestled on my favourite jeans last weekend, it felt like I was walking around in a wetsuit. Anyway, I digress. My point is that many of us are finally settling into the joys of loungewear, however that translates into your wardrobe or personal style. And now that summer’s ’round the corner, here at Who What Wear, we’ve been keeping an eye out for outfits that will make us feel comfy, cool and just a little bit polished when the mercury rises. Everyone We Know Owns a Pair of These Cult Sneakers
May 18, 2020 at 05:00AM When Emma Watson and Meghan Markle wore a pair of trainers by the conscious French brand Veja, it quickly became one of the most talked-about sneaker brands in the UK. The classic white basket sneaks (made from recycled plastic bottles and wild rubber) feature the distinctive V logo in varying colours on each side. Emma Watson first wore the trainers back in October 2016, but it wasn’t until 18 months later that the seemingly simple lace-ups started gaining such widespread popularity. Much like other classic trainers (think Converse and Vans), these are rapidly becoming a staple for when you need a comfortable yet stylish pair of shoes. Plus, these sneakers are so minimalist in design that they work with every type of ensemble—from midi dresses to straight-leg jeans. The Veja V-10 leather trainers arrived on Net-a-Porter in early 2017 and became the second and third best-selling pieces globally (only beaten out by a Gucci T-shirt) the same week they launched. Now I spot these trainers constantly on Instagram, as they seem to have become the most popular sneakers to own. May 17, 2020 at 11:55PM I dread jeans shopping. Getting tons of pairs on and off my body in the fitting room is a straight-up nightmare. That’s why I jumped at the chance to order these Old Navy Extra High-Waisted Boyfriend Straight Jeans ($35, originally $40) – they arrived to the comfort of my home, hassle-free. I was curious about this pair in particular because they’re bestsellers on the site – the customer reviews got me excited to give them a shot. Not only are these jeans flattering, (I love a good high waist) they’re also insanely comfortable. They have some stretch, but not the type that feels baggy. I can throw them in the washing machine, and they maintain their shape perfectly. I often sit cross-legged on the sofa, and these are just as easy to wear all day long as sweatpants. Six Amazing Female-led Shows To Binge On Netflix
Who run the world? If you need a reminder, here are six amazing, female-led shows on Netflix. I dare you not to binge on them. ‘Tis the season to be binging, am I right? Let’s face it – amidst the entertaining and bettering oneself by reading, cooking, baking (seriously, what’s the big deal with banana bread?), exercising and so on, surely this is also a really good time to quarantine and chill?
