If I Could Wear 1 Shirt All Summer, It Would Be This $16 Striped Button-Down

June 23, 2020 at 11:55PM What qualities make up the perfect summer shirt? For me, I always start by finding a fabric that’s lightweight and breathable. Next, I look for a top that’s versatile so I can wear it with everything already in my warm-weather wardrobe: jean shorts, maxi skirts, and even biker shorts. Then, the print itself has to be fun. After seeing bold striped button-downs cropping up on stylish women all over Instagram, I went on a hunt to find a short-sleeved version I could introduce to my closet. The Old Navy Relaxed Vertical-Stripe Cap-Sleeve Shirt ($16, originally $30) has everything I was looking for. It features vertical stripes that make me think of ocean vacations, and the fabric is lightweight: a mix of cotton and rayon. Check out how some of my favorite influencers have been styling their striped button-downs, then sprint on over to Old Navy to check out my top pick. It’s 25 percent off today. Millie Bobby Brown’s Cropped Denim Jacket Makes Me Wonder If It’s Time to Grab the Scissors

June 23, 2020 at 09:23PM Millie Bobby Brown, style icon in her own right, shared an Instagram shot of herself from what appears to be a visit to her hairstylist. All posed up in the barber chair, she asked her followers, “Straight or curly?” referring to her hair. But me – I’m the fashion editor over here – thinking to myself, “Cropped or oversize?,” and my focus is on her denim jacket. Millie’s is from River Island, originally retailing for less than $100, though it’s now sold out (don’t worry, we found a similar one after the jump). The tight fit and and structured, triangular collar with moto details scream ’80s to me, but wasn’t it just yesterday that Hailey Bieber was making the oversize fit look cool? Whereas I left all my micro-cropped outerwear in storage at my parents’ house, I’m now considering taking a pair of scissors to my favorite Levi’s jacket. Wouldn’t it look cool slashed and distressed – just underneath the bust – with a white ribbed tank top underneath? Of course, I could go all out like Millie did and throw on a pair of matching light-wash jeans to really make a statement. Just to further prove that Millie was fueled by the ’80s with this look, she accessorized with a scrunchie on her wrist. Scroll down to shop her exact pair of Mother Denim pants and tortoise Vogue Eyewear sunglasses, then scoop up what appears to be the piece du jour, folks: the cropped

Calling All Bucket Hat Babes – We Have Outfit Ideas For You

June 23, 2020 at 06:45PM I’m a big fan of the bucket hat. I throw mine on when I’m stepping out for a walk or embarking on a day trip to the beach, and there are even times I construct an entire outfit around it. The casual accessory, which throws it back to the ’90s, has been gaining popularity for the past two summers, striking the eye of high-end designer labels like Gucci and Prada, both brands stamping their signature logos on the trendy piece. For summer 2020, we’re seeing a lot of two and three piece sets: printed minidress + bucket hat splashed in a matching pattern or bikini + bucket hat + beach skirt, for those who prefer to go monochrome from head to toe. If you’re still big into tie-dye, there are plenty of bucket hats that fall into that camp, fulfilling all our hip, surfer dreams. Whether you’re the type of bucket hat wearer who prefers the look with a side of athleisure, and you’re officially replacing your baseball cap with the bucket shape for good, or you like to keep one strictly on hand for pool days only, we bet you’ll find a combination you’re ready to shop below.
