June 24, 2020 at 11:00AM When it comes to dressing for summer, I take the more is more approach. I go for loose linen jumpsuits, flowing trousers and dresses, white jeans, and seersucker tops with puff sleeves (all the better for ventilation). If you haven’t gathered already I tend to cover up when the sun comes out. That’s partly because I want to protect my skin but also because the UK weather is so changeable that I will inevitably get cold, and need to rely on trusty layers to cope with the hourly shift in temperatures. But then I spied a crop-top-and-mini-skirt daisy print co-ord from & Other Stories. It has all the markings of an outfit I’d usually avoid—”mini” and “crop top” aren’t words to describe anything in my daily wardrobe. However, there is a heatwave, people, and both these items, whether worn together or separately have the power to transform an outfit. Personally, I love the square neck on the crop top and can imagine wearing it with a pair of high waisted wide-leg white jeans I’ve got in my wardrobe. I’d also say that the mini would look incredible with a white T-shirt or loose shirt tucked in. As for shoes—opt for strappy heels or classic white sneakers, from brands such as Veja or Superga. And if you’re into the full shebang, might I suggest taking tips from the two women below who pull the co-ord off with aplomb. Keep scrolling to see the look… Style Notes: Chic heels and a

WIAW
June 24, 2020 at 11:55AM Hi friends! Hope you’re having a lovely morning. We’re just taking it easy here and looking forward to another tie dye blitz this afternoon. The girls have gotten so good at tie dye lately and have been dyeing pretty much any white article of clothing in the house. For today’s post, I thought I’d share a WIAW-style post. To be honest, my eating hasn’t been very stellar since we’ve started this whole “stay at home” thing a few months ago. We’ve been cooking even more of our meals at home, which is a good thing, but I find that because I’m juggling so much more – it was even more intense when we were doing the distance learning thing – I’ll sometimes go for dips into the chocolate chip bag instead of real meals. When I feel stressed, I tend to feel pretty blah about food. I make the girls delicious and balanced meals, but when I need to put something together for myself, it just doesn’t sound as appealing. I’m a believer in giving ourselves grace, especially during such an unprecedented time. In the future, I’m sure I’ll be back to my meal prepping and organized ways, but I’m just over here flying the seat of my pants most days. I probably should have taken pictures of the kids’ meals because they were a bit more exciting lol but here we are: a full day of eats. 8:30am: We all sleep until 8 (!)

Fresh, Easy, Vegan: Summer’s Finest Pulled Jackfruit Tacos
June 24, 2020 at 11:07AM We can’t stop with author Brandi Chang’s Family Style cookbook recipes. Jackfruit tacos are like a California vegan’s version of tofu bowls anywhere else. They’re simple, dazzlingly delicious and easy to build. As the temps rise, try a few new summer recipes like these tacos and follow them up with these gluten-free magic-cali bars! Jackfruit is a phenomenal plant-based ingredient that’s gained recent popularity in vegan cooking. Much like tofu, jackfruit is best prepared when well-seasoned or marinated. This recipe, originally featured in my cookbook Family Style , can also be prepared on toasted buns to create the ultimate vegan BBQ pulled “pork” sandwich. Pulled Jackfruit Tacos Makes 3-4 tacos INGREDIENTS 1 can young jackfruit, drained and rinsed well 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 small onion, thinly sliced 2 garlic cloves, minced 1 teaspoon paprika 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (bit less if you prefer mild) 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1 teaspoon chili powder 1/4 teaspoon sea salt 2 teaspoons coconut sugar 2 teaspoons coconut aminos 2 tablespoons tomato paste 1/2 cup water For serving Corn tortillas Red cabbage, shredded Avocado, thinly sliced Cilantro Lime wedges INSTRUCTIONS Prepare the jackfruit by removing from can, rinsing and draining in a colander. How to Organise Your Beauty Products Once and for All
June 24, 2020 at 06:30AM Does your beauty routine take more time than it should because you have to wade through tons of products that aren’t in any particular order? We’ve all been there, choosing to overstuff our makeup bags and bathroom cabinets and then complain when we can’t find what we’re looking for. The beauty organising struggle is so real. It doesn’t help when everyone seems to have immaculate #shelfies filled with gorgeous, unstained products that are definitely not expiry date. You’d be surprised to know that organising your beauty products is much easier than you might think, in fact, you can probably place it a bit higher on your to-do list. It’s well worth the time now as it’ll save you much more when you know where everything is. Keep scrolling to find out how to organise your beauty products and the surprise benefits it has for your skin health too. This might be the hardest but most rewarding part of the process, the clearout. You have to be brutal here, as we both know that the dried-up tube of mascara you’ve been hoarding for years needs to go. Start by taking out all of your beauty products, including makeup, skin, body and hair. Then divide into a pile of products that you actually use and ones that you don’t. For all of these products, check what the Period After Opening time is on the back of the product. Expiry dates aren’t always reliable, but the PAO is a

8 Summer Outfits to See You Through the Heatwave
June 24, 2020 at 06:02AM Having been born and raised in sunny Australia, I like to think I know a thing or two about how to dress for warm weather. While the current forecast in the UK is deemed a heatwave, for us Aussies, it’s just another summer day. Therefore, I thought I would take some time to share my knowledge of how exactly to dress when the mercury rises. From denim shorts to flowing maxis, there’s no one formula when it comes to dressing for warm weather. At the end of the day, it’s all about what makes you feel cool and comfortable, as both factors become a top priority in these times. Personally, I often rely on breathable fabrics and fluid silhouettes, and as evidenced below, many members of the fashion set tend to do the same. In fact, between the linen shirts, swimwear as daywear and sun-smart accessories, it seems several of our favourites have perfected warm-weather dressing. I Think These Dresses and Sandals Go Together Perfectly
June 24, 2020 at 06:00AM When the weather is like it is this week, all I want to wear are dresses and sandals—the ultimate throw-on duo. As our routines slowly begin to resume, and we are meeting friends for socially distant picnics and walks, many of us are rediscovering the joy in getting dressed up again. I’ve worn some of my favourite dresses for a sit in the park and found that the right pair of sandals can help a “fancy” dress feel more relaxed and appropriate for your everyday plans. Many of the dresses below are perfect for low-key summer plans, but you can also wear them next year to weddings and formal occasions with a switch in sandals. My general rule when it comes to dresses and sandals is that the fancier the dress, the chunkier the shoes. A pair of Tevas or Velcro shoes are the perfect contrast to a silk floral midi dress. Keep scrolling for the 20 dresses and sandals that I think go perfectly together. Next up, see our guide to the key trends for spring and summer 2020.
