These Nourishing Body Products Are Like Summer in a Tub

June 08, 2020 at 06:30AM Nothing gets me more excited for summer than a great body product. The minute the sun starts shining, the first thing I do is dust off my go-to body beauty products from summers past and slather myself in them top to toe. If you ask me, you really can’t beat the feeling of prepping your body ready for a day of sun-drenched fun. You see, while a good summer body routine leaves skin silky smooth and glowing (which in itself is sure to make you feel good), the act of actually using summery-scented products comes with its own level of joy entirely. From sun cream and sunshine to tropical cocktails and zesty fruits, when the scents of summer come all wrapped up in the form of super nourishing, skin-loving beauty products, it’s like all of the great feelings that come hand-in-hand with summer are unleashed with every single use. And do you know what? As a beauty editor that is supposed to have a passion for all things geeky and scientific, there’s a really big part of me that just wants whatever body care product I use to smell really great. As far as I’m concerned, if it does what it claims to do, what’s the harm in it smelling wonderful while it works? So if, like me, you like your body routine to come with a little bit of summer joy, keep scrolling for the summer-appropriate body care products that smell just as amazing as they feel. Chances

Every Dress I Love This Year Has This One Little Detail

June 08, 2020 at 06:03AM Summer is on its way and with it comes an influx of new seasonal trends. From tie-dye to linen, and Bermuda shorts, there are a few standout looks that certainly seems to have taken over our Instagram feeds in recent months.  Though not all trends are immediately obvious, as sometimes it can be the smaller details that make a look even more impactful. Enter my favourite summer dress mirco-trend: cut-out silhouettes. Whether it be an open back detail, front key-hole or waist-enhancing side splits, cut-out silhouettes seem to be everywhere at the minute. From influencer imagery to e-comm campaigns, this interesting detail has been highlighted across high-street and designer items, proving its popularity once and for all. Whether it be Cult Gaia’s Serita dress, already worn by the likes of Rosie HW and Candice Swanepoel, or Sir the Label’s Alena Open-Back dress which has captured the attention of Brittany Bathgate and Lucy Williams, it’s clear that this summer is all about statement silhouettes.  Our advice? When wearing a dress with cut-out details or an intricate design, keep the rest of your outfit relatively simple. Some understated sandals, a woven handbag and minimal jewellery will really allow the dress itself to shine. Keep scrolling to see how influencers are wearing cut-out detail dresses and then shop the trend below.  Next up, the biggest S/S 20 fashion trends you need to know.  Author Zoe Anastasiou | Whowhatwear Selected by CWC

What do you do in those moments where it seems like the rainy day has finally arrived? Use these tools below to immediately gain perspective and shift your mindset. 6 Magical Tools To Shift Your Mindset Take deep breaths | As humans, we still experience the fight-or-flight response to negative emotional experiences in the same way our ancestors did. The only difference is that we’re not being chased by large animals or walking barefoot in the desert to find food or water. Breathing actually lowers the flight-or-fight response by sending more oxygen to the brain and allowing the body to relax and offer you the space to deal with emotions. Start with three deep breaths to calm your body before doing anything else. Practice Gratitude | Creating the space for gratitude is

The One Summer 2020 Trend That Is Perfect for Working From Home

June 08, 2020 at 06:00AM When writing our spring/summer 2020 trend report I could have never anticipated the way life was about to change. Many of the clothes arriving in stores this month were designed to be worn to weddings, pub beer gardens and summer events, however, the spring summer collections did have an overarching practical theme that makes many of the items that were tipped to spike, still relevant to our lives at home. In the spring collections, we saw a desire for more classic, timeless pieces, largely driven by sustainability having a significant impact on how trends are now shaped. One of the items that fashion buyers kept mentioning to me as a key product for the season was a blue Oxford button-down shirt by The Row. The one item that I personally keep wearing for my video work calls and keep seeing other people wearing too is an oversize Oxford shirt. The oversize, loose fit makes them feel comfortable and relaxed, plus they go with midi skirts or any jeans or trousers, making them an easy outfit to style. The most popular outfit I’ve seen people wearing is an oversize white shirt tucked into straight-leg jeans, but I’ve also seen blue shirts worn with midi skirts or Oxfords layered underneath knits. Keep scrolling for some styling inspiration if you already have a shirt at home, and in case you’re looking to purchase one, scroll further for our edit. Next up, see our guide to the key trends

I Have Simple Style, and These Are the Only Easy Trends I Care About

June 08, 2020 at 05:10AM If I had to describe my personal style in three words, low-key, elevated, and simple would pretty much sum it up. And while I tend to stick to more basics than super-trendy items, the trends that do pique my interest tend to be the more versatile and laid-back picks that fit within my simple style. On that note, I thought I’d share some of the key trends I’ve been into recently for myself and others. Naturally, I turned to some of my favorite fashion people on Instagram to showcase said easy trends. With all that in mind, keep scrolling to check out the looks worth noting if you have a more simple style like me. And if you’re shopping at the moment, I rounded up product recommendations as well. There’s nothing easier and, honestly, more stylish these days than teaming a basic ribbed tank with a cool pair of jeans or joggers. Here for it. In the footwear realm, I’m all about the sporty-sandal vibe for a functional and forward shoe choice. I’d wear them like this with chic trousers and an oversize top. Flashy jewelry isn’t necessarily my thing, but a chain necklace feels statement-making without being too much. That perfect pick is basically the finishing touch to any chic ensemble I’m into. Those lightweight cardigans that are either cropped or shrunken are more or less a next-level basic staple at this point. They’re ideal for those with more simple style. I love that

9 Grandma Trends That Are Basically Mainstream at This Point

June 08, 2020 at 05:05AM The life span of a trend goes like this: At first, a select group of insiders begins to wear what we call a “micro-trend” until, at a certain point when there are enough versions to be found at a range of price points, it’s officially a trend with a capital T. At that point, it either expires after the current season or proves to have staying power and therefore becomes “mainstream.” For as negative a connotation as it usually has, mainstream actually isn’t such a bad thing. Really, it means that a trend that was once niche has proven to be worthy of a long-lasting place in your closet, and, at least to me, that’s a beautiful thing. Recently, I got to thinking about the whole idea of grandma dressing. When we reported on the budding trend back in February 2019, it was definitely a niche style. But since then, I’ve watched specific grandma fashion trends like oversize sunglasses and polished top-handle bags go from micro to truly being everywhere. And the same is true for six more of these retro-inspired styles that span everything from swimwear to jewelry to lingerie. So without further ado, I’m sharing nine grandma trends that have become so popular they’re essentially mainstream (in the best way possible). Scroll down to discover them all and shop the pieces worthy of having in your wardrobe for a long time. We called this trend last summer, and ever since then, underwire detailing and high-waisted
