my top 10 prenatal fitness tips

June 01, 2020 at 11:01AM Sharing some of my top prenatal fitness tips! While it’s so important to maintain an active lifestyle while you’re pregnant, we want to do it in the safest and smartest possible way. Hi friends! Happy Monday! I hope you had a safe and happy weekend. We spent a lot of time at the pool, Tucson got our first summer rain (the best!), and caught up on some stuff around the house. For today’s post, I wanted to share some prenatal fitness tips. (No, I’m not pregnant! #twoandthrough) In my annual blog survey, I had a LOT of requests for more prenatal fitness content. It’s a delicate area because each pregnancy is so different and it’s so important to follow medical practitioner’s guidelines. I thought I’d put together a master list of 10 things that would be appropriate and make sense across the board, so I’m sharing them here! Here are my top 10 prenatal fitness tips: 1) Avoid the comparison trap. This is a tricky one because it’s so common to scroll Instagram and see ladies with these giant beautiful pregnant bellies contorting their bodies into complex yoga poses or hoisting a loaded barbell over their heads. While it works for them, it might not necessarily work for you. For example, I had a solid headstand practice going into my pregnancies, but something about flipping upside down while I was pregnant felt off to me. I was so worried that I would fall and there

These Are the 12 Pieces I’d Buy From H&M’s New Studio Collection

June 01, 2020 at 10:21AM While many of us might not be able to hit the beach this summer, H&M’s second Studio Collection might just bring a little wanderlust to your life this week. Continuing on from the first drop’s surfer vibes, the latest offering is packed full of summer-ready staples, including maxi dresses, shorts, shirts and kaftans all in vibrant shades that instantly recall a beach at sunset.  Ok, so we might be wearing the bikini to sunbathe in the local park, but rest assured that these are sure to be warm weather heroes for many years to come. At the top of our wishlist is the finely pleated maxi dress, which will look just as good over a bikini with flipflops as it will with city-ready Birkenstocks and a layered white tee. We also have our eye on the shorts-and-shirt co-ord, which will keep you cool thanks to its loose fit. One other thing, this collection has a habit of selling out within 24 hours, so if fall for something, make sure you don’t delay. Happy scrolling! 20 Items You Should Own by the Time You’re 30

June 01, 2020 at 06:10AM There’s something that happens in your 30s: Whether you want to or not (and whether you’re even aware of it or not), you grow up. Everything about your worldview becomes a bit more mature, and your style evolves along with it. While much of this evolution happens very naturally, for our wardrobe, that might not be the case. And as we get older, our clothes matter more.  It’s all about sleek pieces that’ll make you look chic at all times. A blazer, high-waist trousers and ankle boots are just some of those timeless classics.  If that sounds like your life right now, then luckily, we’re here to help—because when it comes to clothes, everyone can sometimes use a nudge towards adulthood from time to time. For this reason, we’ve come up with 20 pieces you should own by the time you’re 30 that will make getting dressed easier and ensure you always look incredibly chic. Scroll down for 20 items you should own by the time you’re 30, plus where to shop key pieces. We all remember the day of Britney Spears–inspired ultra-low-rise jeans. They had their moment in the sun, but as we mature and our bodies mature with us, they become a less and less viable option. Instead, reach for a pair of classic straight-leg jeans in a year-round suitable mid-wash.  While we fully commend the Kim Kardashian West look, some days we don’t feel quite so body-confident. Some days, we’re all for the more demure

This Under-the-Radar Brand Does the Best Throw-On Summer Dresses

June 01, 2020 at 06:00AM Welcome to our newest editorial initiative, Who What Wear Spotlight, where we’ll be using our editorial platform, social following, and ad inventory to turn the spotlight on small businesses that need our support now more than ever. Each week, we’ll be highlighting a new fashion or beauty company. If you own a small brand and would like to be considered for the program, please apply here. With travel suspended for the foreseeable, brands that focus on swimwear and holiday clothing will see an inevitable tumble in demand and have an even harder time ahead of them than all fashion brands. So for this Spotlight we wanted to focus on a label in this category—and contemporary brand Belize’s throw-on dresses and gingham swimsuits will look just as good in a London park this summer as on any Mediterranean coastline. Belize is now four years old, and was founded by two friends Fiona Bansal and Valeska Deutsch, who met when working as designers at Stella McCartney. Given their background, it’s no surprise that sustainable methods are at the heart of the collections and they create timeless summer pieces that look straight out of Jane Birkin’s suitcase. They typically stick to checked fabrics, muted colours and relaxed silhouettes, that all make for a beautiful throw-on summer capsule. Belize is positioned at a contemporary price point, and so with £200+ summer dresses and £100-something bikinis, this is clothing designed to be treasured and more than one summer.  Here the founders explain how they built the brand

Best Wardrobes in Britain: Zeena Shah

June 01, 2020 at 06:00AM Welcome to the latest highly exciting instalment of Who What Wear UK’s Best Wardrobes in Britain. It’s where we do exactly what it says on the tin: delve into the most fantastical, awe-inspiring and downright influential wardrobes in this fair country of ours. We’re honing in on the women who cause the street style photographers to press their shutters as much as the characters you don’t yet know—the ones who fly under the radar with secretly incredible clothing collections. Currently the idea of stepping inside someone else’s home is unthinkable, however before the country went into lockdown back in March I entered one of the cheeriest flats in London for our Best Wardrobes in Britain franchise. Everything about Zeena Shah’s home reflects her optimistic outlook—she lives in a one bedroom flat in a 1920s Art Deco building in East London which has a baby blue and sugary pink exterior that looks it belongs in Miami, and certainly not Hackney. It’s a fitting backdrop for Zeena given she dresses like a rainbow every day of the week and you could use the word ‘pretty’ to describe pretty much everything she owns.  Zeena is the Art Director of the children’s book company Wonderbly, however she is also a print textile designer, has published two books and often runs craft workshops. The work she does with fashion brands on her Instagram account is therefore a tiny fraction of her working week. Her little corner of the internet is filled with things that make her, and many

20 Chic Interior Buys From John Lewis if You’re Over Looking At Loungewear

June 01, 2020 at 06:00AM It seems as though this period of social distancing has coaxed out our inner interior designers, and while Instagram is always chock-a-block with snapshots of tasteful picture walls and carefully manicured yuccas, the last two months have taken things to another level. In our day-to-day lives, our wardrobes are usually a canvas on which to project our creativity, but now that we’re limited in our social interactions, our homes have presented the ideal alternative. All we can say is, thank goodness for the internet, and we’ve been scrolling through the homeware sections of all our favourite stores, and we have to say John Lewis is coming up trumps this season. Of course, it has long been a high street go-to, but the Great British institution has been competing for the accolade of ‘most stylish affordable homeware brand’, and to be honest, they’re making a pretty convincing case.  . So, what’s on our wishlist for summer 2020? There’s so much to love right now, and we’ve got our eye on everything from cool wall prints and graphic print cushions, to cosy throws and printed rugs. If you’re in need of a bit of home inspo, feel free to scroll on down and check out the pieces we’re ‘adding to basket’ this season. Don’t Kill Your Feet: A Podiatrist Ranks Your At-Home Shoes From Best to Worst

June 01, 2020 at 05:00AM Your shoe choice more or less determines how comfortable you’ll remain throughout the day. Regardless of how cosy your clothing selection is, if your pair of flats or sandals pinch ever so slightly, your comfort level will swiftly start to decline. In an effort to avoid such discomfort, we often tap podiatrists to shed insight on those current footwear silhouettes that won’t cause as much pain. Today, given that many are spending more time at home, we wanted to zero in on the best (and worst) shoes to wear around the house. We turned to Benjamin Tehrani, DPM, of Kings Point Foot & Ankle in Los Angeles for expert tips on the common styles that are okay and those that could cause some harm to your overall foot health. In addition, given that many of us do spend a lot of time walking barefoot around the house, Tehrani shed light on the pros and cons on that front, too. Without further ado, keep scrolling for a ranking of the best and worst at-home shoes. And if you’re shopping at the moment, you’ll find shoe recommendations that could be of interest as well. “Supportive sandals are preferred. I am impressed with styles like those from Birkenstock that have the ability to remain in style while also providing the best support in the arches that I’ve seen to date. They have a soft foot bed that has an integrated latex foam cushion that molds to your feet
