Trust Me—This Small Parisian Brand Is Going to Be the Next Big Thing

July 01, 2020 at 06:00PM Most of us won’t have touched a handbag since lockdown began, instead sticking to a bag for life for our groceries and pockets for our credit cards. But now that we see signs of things slowly reopening and can visit garden centres and take a book to the park, many are in need of a chuck-it-all-in practical handbag. If you want something a little jazzier than a basket bag, then I’ve just found an under-the-radar French brand that creates the most beautiful striped tote bags. Rue de Verneuil was founded in 2014, however, it’s a new name to British shoppers as has just been stocked by MatchesFashion. The 1950s-inspired tote bags have a Riviera feel to them, as they have a thin elegant pinstripe, a tan leather strap and come in the colours you typically see lining the French coastline (primarily red, baby blue and a soft yellow).  The handbags are made by hand in the Parisian studio and are an investment for a shopping bag costing between £100 and £200. However, it’s a handbag we really would use for every occasion in summer and is timeless enough to come out every holiday for the next ten years. Keep scrolling for the Rue de Verneuil bags we really love.  Next up, see our guide to the key trends for spring/summer 2020. Author Emma Spedding | Whowhatwear Selected by CWC

These Ever-Sold-Out Track Pants Are Back in Stock, and You’re Gonna Have to Pry Me Out of Them

July 01, 2020 at 06:11PM I had the honor of doing grad school in London. Although it was the time of my life, my daily pints, pastries, foam coffees, and happy hours added 30 pounds to my tiny frame. After graduating, I moved to New York City and recommitted my life to fitness. Since then, I’ve been introduced to reformer Pilates and hot yoga. I’ve found a new passion for hiking and hour-long HIIT classes. But probably my favorite part of this journey is how styled I look while getting healthy. The amount of sports bras, yoga pants, and accessories I’ve acquired in three short years is actually shocking. I wouldn’t be surprised if I was Lululemon’s, Girlfriend Collective‘s, and Outdoor Voices’ number one customer. Something about that old adage “when you look good, you feel good.” My most recent discovery of New Balance’s collaboration with LA-based cult brand Staud has been my latest obsession. I love the entire vibrant collection, but there’s one item that steals the show for me. I was casually flipping through sale emails on my break from work a few weeks ago and was about to delete Staud’s email – and then I saw them. There, on my tiny six-inch iPhone, were the most amazing track pants I’d ever seen – emerald green with a bright blue accent. I actually gasped. The model exuded confidence in them. They sat so perfectly on her hips, and the bagginess of the pants was bound to hide any

I’ve Been Searching For the Perfect Summer Sandals, and Old Navy Has Them For $10 Today!

July 01, 2020 at 06:05PM The other day, I glanced down at my feet. Not only were they in dire need of a fresh pedicure, but they were enveloped in – yet again – a pair of flip-flops for the umpteenth day in a row. While I love easy slides, in that moment, I felt like I wanted a fresh pair of stylish sandals. There are so many shoe trends to consider right now – from block heels to thong sandals – but I decided to hunt down one of my favorite styles: an easy-to-wear gladiator sandal; and I found it at Old Navy. The Faux-Suede Lace-Up Gladiator Sandals ($10, originally $35) comes in five earthy shades, and unlike other gladiators I’ve owned, they’re simple to both slip on and tie. The footbed is soft, it’s simple to loosen or tighten the laces, and the laces even have small delicate tassels on the ends so the shoe itself doesn’t feel overly trendy. The minute I slipped them on, I took them for a walk and felt ready for the beautiful warm weather. I plan to wear them with lightweight pants and even denim shorts. 6 Shopping Habits I’ve Adopted to Become a More Mindful Consumer

July 01, 2020 at 05:55PM Somewhat inadvertently, I became a minimalist. Not solely with the style of clothing and accessories that I gravitate toward – though I do revel in clean lines, classic silhouettes, and neutral colors – but also with my space and the amount of “stuff” in it. For the last three years, I’ve primarily worked from home (which is a one-bedroom apartment that I share with my fiancé in Manhattan), wherein certain clothing types no longer made sense. While I’ve always maintained a clean and relatively clutter-free space, I routinely became distracted by the little messes that would pile up around my workspace, from papers to clothing. My focus derailed and shifted into a full-on deep clean of my apartment on more occasions than I’d like to admit. To wit, on days when I had meetings or went into an office pre-COVID-19, I found myself increasingly challenged by getting dressed. Many of the standout styles in my closet lost their luster. The majority of my “investment pieces” felt fussy for the occasions at hand. And newer items I purchased were trickier to style than I imagined. As for the basics, well, they were wearing down after many a default outfit, which often consisted of a T-shirt, blazer, and jeans. For someone who has worked in fashion for the past 10 years, this felt like an epic failure, to say the least. I decided to restrategize and started with a major home and closet clean-out. In turn, my

Four lucky fans, Kortney Russell, Gerlind Anagho, Sariena Luy, and Brenda Senyana, were chosen to star in the lingerie brand’s Cabo Crush campaign for the lingerie brand that was created with artist Rafatoon. Keep reading to see the winners posing for the campaign, as well as two new shots of RiRi ahead. Original Post: Don’t all freak out at once when I say this, but Rihanna wants you to star in her upcoming Savage x Fenty campaign. Yes, you read that right! The singer starred in the new Savage x Fenty summer campaign along with her muses to honor the brand’s second anniversary. All of the campaign imagery was shot in each of the models’ homes, and collage artist Rafatoon made the photos even cooler by creating dreamy, tropical backgrounds for each image. But now Rihanna is turning to all her fans, giving them the opportunity to star in the brand’s upcoming July summer 2020 campaign – a continuation of this series. Winners will be selected to be photographed over FaceTime (something that’s become a norm now as we’ve seen with Jacquemus’s latest campaign).
