Holly Just Wore a Lesser-Known Dress Brand We Know You’ll Love
July 01, 2020 at 12:00PM Honestly, what would we do without Instagram? I’m trying not to think about the amount of time I’m spent on the app during lockdown but it has meant I’ve been able to stay updated with Holly Willoughby‘s fashion choices. The TV presenter has a knack of wearing cool brands but outfits that don’t feel too “fashion”, if you know what I mean. Today’s choice? A dress by vintage-inspired brand Coco Fennell. The eponymous label was created in 2011 and Fennell, who was previously featured in Best Wardrobes in Britain, told us her reasons behind creating the brand: “Both me and my sister had fluctuated in weight quite a lot around the time when I started [the brand] and I think when we were both bigger, it was really difficult to find well-priced, flattering clothes. She was going to do it with me and then didn’t in the end, but I wanted to make flattering, affordable, girly clothes really. “ In 2020, that brand is almost exclusively printed dresses that come with, its now trademark, square necklines and puff sleeves. Holly’s dress today is a pretty white with rose print and she’s styled it with nude heels. A dress brand you don’t want to miss out on. Do You Follow FIFO? How To Be Smart About Stocking A Low-Waste Kitchen
July 01, 2020 at 11:00AM The capsule wardrobe concept has been trending for a while now. And we actually think the ‘capsule’ concept applies well to our pantries right now too. Paring back a kitchen pantry to the sustainable basics can have a profound effect on our health, our wallets — and even our sense of well-being. Whether you’re cooking for yourself, a family on a tight budget at home right now, or are fortunate enough to have a full, but messy pantry and are looking to reset, here are a few tips from TCM contributor, Maya Feller, MS, RD, CDN on keeping a low-waste, but highly functional pantry… Building a pantry has always been important. These days, a well-stocked pantry — along with fresh foods — can provide a sense of security amidst uncertain times. Swap out any of my recommendations for pantry staples for the next best option you have on hand or prefer! Follow FIFO | FIFO means ‘first in – first out’. It’s so easy for fresh foods — especially fruits and veggies — to go bad before we have a chance to use them. Don’t let that dissuade you from shopping fresh! Plan meals so that you use what you have in the order you acquired it. Freeze, blend or cook | To minimize food waste, many items can also be frozen or repurposed. + Grapes and apples that appear to be on their last legs can be blended into juice or cooked down on the stovetop and used
Lean legs barre workout (video)

We’re sleeping camp-style until the missing pieces get here. I didn’t realize that I still had paint and dirt all over my feet until I started filming this barre video. I hope you love this one! I included some of my very favorite exercises for lean, strong legs. This one is a little over 30 minutes and flew.by. My legs were pleasantly sore the next day, too. July Journal Prompts
July 01, 2020 at 10:00AM “Discomfort”, a word I keep hearing swirling around me. This past month has brought up a lot of feelings of discomfort for people in many different ways. If you’re not used to not being able to resolve discomfort, you may be feeling a little overwhelmed. So many of my yoga classes were focused on discomfort and how to sit with it, push through it and what we can learn from it. The reality is that the crises (multiple!) we are facing will take time to resolve. There is no conclusion, solution or answer. So learning to sit with discomfort while also pushing forward is becoming a theme in my life. That’s why this month’s theme is dedicated to discomfort. 10 Journal Prompts for Discomfort 1. What does discomfort mean to you? 2. What are your first memories of discomfort? 3. Where do you feel discomfort, physically? 4. How do you typically deal with feeling uncomfortable? 5. When was the last time you walked through a hard period of life where the only way out was through? 6. Who/what brings you encouragement during discomfort? 7. Write an affirmation that you can come back to when working through feelings of discomfort. 8. […] The post July Journal Prompts appeared first on The Healthy Maven.
