Scared of Prints? Here’s the Masterclass on How to Wear Them

July 03, 2020 at 11:30AM When it comes to Instagram, I am a repeat offender. I know what I like and tend to stick to the accounts I love the most. One influencer that I always go back to over and over for fashion inspiration is Nnenna Echem. The stylist and fashion editor first entered my radar a couple of years ago, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Why? Well, she’s fearless when it comes to trying out new combinations of silhouettes or colours. But where she really shines is her ability to clash prints with bright colours like no one else. I decided to ask her what her best tips are and how she manages to pull it off every time.  “When I first started to wear prints I remember that I didn’t like to mix different prints at the same time. But that was because I didn’t have a connection between the different parts of the outfit, so it didn’t look put-together. Today I can wear several prints. If the prints or patterns in your outfit don’t match, then you have to make sure that the colours in your outfit do. When I say match, I mean that the colour combination should match (e.g., pink and lilac, and mint green and sky blue). You can wear a pastel-blue blazer with zebra prints with a pink leo print skirt because the colours go well together.” “The more you experiment with colours and prints, the more you learn and discover new combinations. You should definitely

No Sugar Cherry Crumble In A Jar (Gluten Free Too + Tastes Amazing!)

July 03, 2020 at 11:30AM Lucuma is a nutrient-dense sweetener that’s incredibly low in sugar and has a subtly maple-like flavor to it. Of all the sweeteners we’ve tried, it’s one of our favorite alternatives to white sugar for baking and provides an incredible source of antioxidants, dietary fiber, minerals and vitamins including beta-carotene and niacin. Here’s holistic nutritionist, Jennie Miremadi’s incredible summer dessert recipe using lucuma as a key ingredient… This gluten-free vegan crumble recipe was originally part of a summer picnic menu that was published in The Chalkboard two years ago. It has become one of my favorite desserts in large part because I love cherry, lucuma, and almond together — the combination is superb! If you’ve never tried lucuma, you’re in for a treat. The fruit is native to Peru, although in the U.S. you’ll typically find it in dried and powdered form. It’s flavor is a bit like butterscotch which makes it a delicious and decadent addition to so many desserts. Lucuma is also full of health benefits, like being rich in fiber, packed with vitamin C, and loaded with antioxidants called polyphenols. (We know that diets that are rich in polyphenols may help protect against heart disease, cancer, diabetes and neurodegenerative diseases). Since this recipe was originally published, I’ve made one tweak to it. I’ve found that maple sugar and lucuma are a beautiful compliment for each other, so I’ve substituted maple sugar for the coconut sugar used in the original recipe. MASON JAR MINI

I Searched the Sales, and These Are the Pieces You Need to See

July 03, 2020 at 06:53AM Unlike the January sales (which all start within a week of each other), the summer sales can be harder to keep track of. Their start dates will be staggered across the months, meaning you have to be more strategic. This month is big for sale shoppers and designer lovers, as MatchesFashion is dropping its prices. And there’s no forgetting the high-street brands, including Arket and Topshop, which have everything from boilersuits to summer dresses. Of course, we’re heading toward those cult buys we’ve spotted all over our Insta feeds so far this year, but we’re also picking the pieces you’ll still want to for many years to come. Yes, we mean Wandler bags and Arket tailoring. To help you navigate the often-confusing summer sale season, we’re alerting you when the big events start and pointing you to the best buys around. 5 Beauty-Obsessed Women on How They Keep Their Skin Looking Youthful

July 03, 2020 at 06:30AM There are few things I love more than talking to people about their beauty routines. I love to find out what cleansers people are using, what serums they swear by and what skincare secrets they have been sat on. Sure, I love hearing from lots of different people with lots of different skin types, but the people I love speaking to the most? Those with mature skin, but undeniably youthful complexions. You see, few things get people talking more passionately than the topic of skin ageing. And sure, we know that a huge amount of ageing is down to genetics, however, we can’t ignore the fact that there are a handful of women who appear to possess some sort of Benjamin Button–style gift. So in a bid to demystify this apparent anti-ageing phenomenon, I spoke to some of those most fresh-faced women in beauty to uncover their secrets. “At the age of 25, I didn’t even know what skincare was. But for the last 12 years or so, I have really been focusing on anti-ageing and glow-giving ingredients. I want to age well and good! Now, I always double cleanse in the morning and evening. I do also go for skin treatments, and I really recommend going to see a skin therapist who will give you a programme to fit your skin. It’s important to never skip your routine—not even when you fall asleep on the sofa after a few glasses of wine! My other top

This Is Summer’s It Bag, According to the Fashion Set

July 03, 2020 at 06:05AM Raffia tote bags have been a hallmark of the quintessential summer wardrobe for decades. From Brigitte Bardot to Kate Moss and Alexa Chung, over the years many stylish women have chosen the item for beach days, park picnics and beyond.  However, while the carryall has typically held an under-the-radar, effortless kind of appeal, recently raffia tote bags have become quite the It item thanks to Spanish luxury brand, Loewe. Featuring an adjustable leather handle and the brand’s instantly recognizable insignia, Loewe’s raffia totes bags have become somewhat ubiquitous amongst the fashion set. From Camille Charriere to Pernille Teisbeak, the item—which is available in various colours and sizes—has graced my Instagram feed more times than I can count in recent weeks, undeniably solidifying itself as one of the most popular staples of the season.  Of course, while the bag might be seen as ‘trending’ right now, the beauty of the Loewe tote is that it is a timeless investment, that will see you through summers to come. Just ask a 1960s era-Bridgitte Bardot. I Just Found So Much Chic Swimwear on the High Street

July 03, 2020 at 06:02AM First thing’s first: Yes, I do acknowledge the irony of offering up a swimwear edit while we are still in the midst of a lockdown and our holiday plans have been put on ice. Well, I don’t know if it’s just me, but I’ve found myself poring over the latest bikini drops, and I’m even adding a couple to my basket. Weird, right? Regardless of whether you have a garden, a balcony, a nearby patch of grass or just a window, I have to admit that there’s something unexpectedly escapist about throwing on a swimsuit, grabbing a cold drink and basking in the sun (remember to wear SPF, kids).  It just so happens that the high street’s swimwear offering is off-the-charts good this year, and brands such as Monki and COS have been creating expensive-looking clean-lined styles that could easily be mistaken for designer iterations. Highlights include Monki’s cobalt blue one-piece and & Other Stories’ sheared bikini top, ASOS’s fuller bust rust-coloured two-piece and COS’s chic asymmetric navy swimsuit. 16 Feel-Good Items on My Summer Wish List

July 03, 2020 at 06:00AM Hello! It’s Elinor Block, Who What Wear’s assistant editor, sharing with you my picks for the month. As we’re easing out of lockdown, I’ve had time to think about the products—fashion, beauty and lifestyle—that have genuinely kept me going. I don’t have any real words of wisdom for how I kept (mostly) sane, but sticking to a routine has been invaluable. That includes getting properly dressed in the mornings in clothes I love and putting on makeup. It also includes wearing a smartwatch, which has helped me stay on top of my activity levels. And I’ve never been watch person before. I’ve also recently moved houses, so finding pieces that are as useful as they are beautiful (I’m paraphrasing William Morris’s classic mantra) is important without going overboard on the budget. While it might all seem a bit frivolous, when you take into consideration how much time we’ve all spent at home, these items below have gone a long way in making me feel like I’m ready for the day ahead. Keep scrolling to see my favourite bits for the month. A smart pair of trousers that also has an elasticated waist is exactly what I need right now. I’m a sucker for a great jumpsuit, and I couldn’t resist this Topshop one. Florals + a bold red = the perfect summer dress. I bought this loose jersey dress from H&M, and it’s honestly one of the best purchases I’ve made this summer. This loose-fitting shirt

The Summer Trend I’m Wearing to Feel Comfy and Pulled-Together

July 03, 2020 at 06:00AM It’s official: The fashion world is losing it over linen this summer. Be it a midi dress or shorts, structured blazer or a button-up skirt, there are very few wardrobe staples that this fabric hasn’t had its way with. Historically, my main issue with linen is that it can look a bit, well, earthy. Its textural finish paired with a slouchy silhouette can end up resulting in “Gwyneth Paltrow at a yoga retreat” vibes. And while this isn’t necessarily a bad thing (in fact, it’s very useful for holidays), if you want something city-ready to wear for both remote working and the occasional trip out for coffee, it’s not so useful. Enter the linen suit. First thing’s first: The 2020 linen suit comes in many iterations. Naturally, there’s plenty of polished two-pieces that wouldn’t look out of place in an office, but what I’ve loved is how some influencers have incorporated mis-matched linen blazers and trousers to give a more eclectic finish. You can basically make it as pulled-together or as laid back as you like.  Most of the designs this season come in beige and cream hues, which are classic enough to look good for many seasons to come. However, if you’re looking for a little more personality, you will also find brighter shades from the likes of Joseph and ASOS. Personally, I’ll be wearing my suit with a white tee and Birkenstocks for a Zoom-ready smart-casual look, but I can also imagine Joseph’s lilac-coloured get-up looking fab with a chunky chain and heels for a 20201 wedding.

17 Editor-Tested Products From Old Navy We’re Happy We Bought – Just Read Our Reviews

July 03, 2020 at 12:20AM I’m definitely the type of person who DMs pals and coworkers asking them if they own something I’m considering buying, or if they have a strong recommendation. So while doing some online shopping recently, I thought, “Who better to sift through the most popular products at Old Navy and help me cull the best than my fellow POPSUGAR editors?” From identifying the perfect white t-shirt that promises to maintain quality throughout washing, to high-waisted trousers that I’m dubbing “magic pants” because our editor claims they feel more like sweats, to side-pocket leggings that keep everything in, POPSUGAR editors revealed what their favorite finds have been so far this year. And they’re all right this way. Related: Fashion Girls Are Obsessed With Animal-Print Dresses – Shop the Trend For $22 Right Here More Celeb News Author Rebecca Brown | Popsugar Selected by CWC
