Harry and Meghan Just Signed a Deal With Netflix
September 02, 2020 at 06:20PM Following in the footsteps of the Obamas, who signed a multi-year deal with Netflix after leaving the White House, the Sussexes too have entered into a partnership with the streaming giant. One of their biggest post-royal decisions (the other being their move to California), the exclusive deal that Netflix just signed with Harry and Meghan will essentially serve as an extension of the couple’s existing charitable interests. According to the New York Times, the Sussexes “have founded a yet-to-be-named production company and signed a multiyear deal with Netflix, which will pay them to make documentaries, docu-series, feature films, scripted shows and children’s programming.” “Our lives, both independent of each other and as a couple, have allowed us to understand the power of the human spirit: of courage, resilience, and the need for connection,” Meghan and Harry said in a statement. “Through our work with diverse communities and their environments, to shining a light on people and causes around the world, our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope.” This deal doesn’t mark the first Netflix project for Harry and Meghan. Prince Harry, who has long been an advocate for disabled veterans, collaborated with the platform recently on a documentary about the Paralympic Games titled Rising Phoenix. “As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us,” the couple added. “We are pleased to work with Ted and the team at Netflix whose unprecedented reach will help us share
Netflix’s Emily in Paris Is the Next Great Fashion Show You’ve Been Waiting For
September 02, 2020 at 06:03PM If you’re a fashionista who still obsesses over the cute outfits on Sex and the City and Gossip Girl, allow me to introduce you to your new favorite show: Netflix’s Emily in Paris. Starring Lily Collins, the series follows a marketing exec from Chicago who lands her dream job working in the City of Love. While her complicated romances and drama with her coworkers are certainly intriguing, it’s the incredible fashion that has us turning our heads during every scene. From Emily’s cute berets to her colorful peacoats, the outfits look like something straight out of Blair Waldorf or Carrie Bradshaw’s closets. Seeing as the showrunner is Sex and the City creator Darren Star and the show’s costume designer is Patricia Field, who worked on Sex and the City and The Devil Wears Prada, the incredible outfits shouldn’t come as a surprise. As we patiently wait for the series to drop on Oct. 2, get ready to be whisked away to Paris with these gorgeous looks from the show. How To Make The Perfect Roasted Potatoes
September 02, 2020 at 01:00PM Revisiting an THM classic with a tutorial on how to make the perfect roasted potatoes. With two variations for when you’re in a rush or have more time! They’re crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a delicious spicy coating. These roasted potatoes will change your life! “Never say never”. The most precious lesson Justin Bieber has taught me. I have a habit of making outrageous claims like “I would NEVER do that!”, only to regret it 6 months later when the pendulum that is my opinions swings immediately opposite. For the longest time, I didn’t want to reshoot or edit old blogs and recipes. I loved that my blog reflected my journey as a business woman and we all have to start somewhere. Having said that, I want to make sure I’m consistently giving you the best content and if that means reworking some blogs and reshooting some pictures, I’m going to do it. These roasted yukon gold potatoes are one of my go-to recipes and I want you guys to want to make them! So here I am years later, feeling ready to tackle some of my older content, even if I said I never […] The post How To Make The Perfect Roasted Potatoes appeared first on The Healthy Maven. Here’s the First Look at Netflix’s Stylish New Show, Emily in Paris
September 02, 2020 at 04:59PM Taking the classic “American in Paris” trope and giving it a high fashion spin is Lily Collins’ upcoming Netflix show, Emily in Paris. The 10-episode series doesn’t drop until October 2, but the just-released trailer is giving us plenty to look forward to. Created by Darren Star (who’s already given us women-living-their-best-lives shows like Younger and Sex and the City), the series stars Collins as Emily, an ambitious young marketing executive from Chicago, whose company acquires a French luxury marketing company and transfers her to Paris. Her new life in Paris, according to the show notes, is “filled with intoxicating adventures and surprising challenges as she juggles winning over her work colleagues, making friends, and navigating new romances.” View this post on Instagram Here we go!! Keeping this secret has been so hard but I’m beyond thrilled to finally announce @emilyinparis officially launches October 2, only on @netflix! I hope you guys fall in love with this story, the character and the city just like I did. Can’t. F*cking. Wait. Pardon my French… A post shared by Lily Collins (@lilyjcollins) on Sep 1, 2020 at 8:00am PDT Speaking with Variety last year, Star outlined some of the initial hurdles Emily would face as an American expat in France. She is “not fully embraced by some of the French — she’s an American girl who comes to France and doesn’t speak any French, she has opinions about how to do things, but finds out ‘the American
Cardi B Is the New Face of Balenciaga – Now You Can Really Call Her “Balenciaga Mama”
September 02, 2020 at 04:54PM Cardi B is the newest face of Balenciaga. We’re still trying to get over how amazing the fashion looks were in Cardi B’s latest hit music video “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion, and now the rapper has given us something else to talk about with her Balenciaga campaign. Cardi announced the exciting news that she’s the face of Balenciaga’s latest ad campaign for the winter 2020 season on social media. She posted the campaign photo on Instagram with the caption, “Ya lookin at the face of a @Balenciaga campaign! I remember how I felt seeing myself on a billboard in NYC Times Square but PARIS! Wish I was there to see it in person!” It makes sense that the rapper was chosen as the luxury brand’s latest campaign brand ambassador since some of her most famous lyrics are, “I like those Balenciagas, the ones that look like socks.” The gorgeous imagery was shot and styled by Cardi’s team at her LA home. The campaign features the singer wearing a slinky black dress from the brand’s creative director Demna Gvasalia’s fall 2020 collection. While lying down in the dress, she’s surrounded by kids’ toys like Barbies and balls, as well as Balenciaga’s Neo Classic bag in white. Keep reading to see the campaign.
