May 08, 2020 at 04:17PM Sarah Michelle Gellar just got all dressed up for her Instagram fans in none other than the iconic white prom dress from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Originally, she wore the dress in the final episode of season one, titled “Prophecy Girl” – hence Gellar’s use of hashtags. Buffy wears it to take on the Master (a brief interruption from going to prom), and she even coordinates it with a black jacket in the show. While the leather moto jacket Gellar put on for her stay-home selfie is a bit more modern, the dress underneath it is what’s truly iconic – I mean, this thing hails from 1997 and there’s a reproduction of the dress that you can buy at Hot Topic. (The same look is also going for $80+ on Amazon.) Sarah worked her throwback look with pink hair and a black bow headband. “I say we party,” she wrote, referencing the famous moment in the series, thereby prompting Buffy fans to freak the heck out. “Yesss party at home,” Christian Siriano commented on her post.
