J.Crew and Madewell Warm Our Hearts With a Donation of 75,000 Face Masks to Healthcare Workers

April 28, 2020 at 02:55PM J.Crew and Madewell have partnered to donate 75,000 single-use medical-grade face masks to Montefiore Health System hospitals in New York, announcing the news on Instagram on April 27, 2020. This comes after Christian Siriano discussed his own impressive donation of 10,000 colorful face masks to those on the frontlines fighting the coronavirus crisis. While many other companies and organizations have pledged to donate money to the cause, J.Crew and Madewell’s whopping donation of medical-grade masks is especially notable. The brands also join a long list of fashion labels shifting gears and listing non-medical cotton face masks on their websites, so shoppers can either add one to their cart, if they happen to be shopping, or receive one for free with any purchase made. Both J.Crew and Madewell have already sold out of their masks, which cost $18 and $20 respectively, but you can check back for restocking information soon. J.Crew’s three-pack of masks comes in the company’s signature stripes and gingham, while Madewell’s come in a chambray fabric and remind us of our feel-good, go-to denim. Even though some of the most popular sites continue to sell out of their non-medical masks, they’re working to reproduce batches as quickly as possible, and most are updated with approximate shipping date information. How to Make the Cutest At-Home Outfits With a Hoodie

April 27, 2020 at 10:45PM By definition, a hoodie has a hood, unlike your standard graphic-print crewneck. I was pretty sure that was the case, but I’m not going to lie – I did look it up just to make sure. And if we’re really getting into the thick of it, it’s important to acknowledge just how many more styling tricks you can take advantage of when you do have a hood to utilize. Kaia Gerber comes to mind – the supermodel made a blazer look 150 percent more casual-cool by letting her hood hang out the back, and the look is forever imprinted in my memory. You can also add dimension to your outfit by knotting the drawstring at your neck. Plus, there’s something that’s so sporty about wearing a hood; something that provides instant coverage. When I’m wearing one, I just feel like I could lift it up over my head and run straight outside for a jog in an instant. Anyone else feel me? I know you probably haven’t thought quite so in depth about hoodies, and that’s OK – I get that you’re mostly wearing them for comfort reasons. But while we all fine tune our personal stay-home style, it’s my duty to inspire you and come up with different outfit ideas for you to create, all revolving around your trusty hoodie. Scroll through for some of my best advice, then shop my favorite selections if you’re in the market for a new design. Related: How
