April 23, 2020 at 08:50PM Since I’ve been spending all my time at home, I had been taking full advantage of wearing sweats and giving my face a break from from makeup. Now that I’m a little over a month into being here, and honestly, I could use a pick-me-up. I upped my game to matching sweatsuits, which seemed more formal and using tinted moisturize, it felt great. But I decided I was ready to take it one level further and treat myself to a piece of clothing that is also acceptable to wear when this is all over, too. The Old Nacy Square-Neck Cami Jumpsuit ($19, originally $39) was the versatile piece I was looking for. The jumpsuit ticks all my boxes: it has pockets, it’s comfy, I can wear it around the house, and outside with sneakers, sandals, you name it. Ringing in at just $20 makes it hard to refuse, because the cozy pick is one that I wear now and so much more later, making it worth every penny. If you’re also looking to spruce up your closet, then there’s no doubt a comfortable jumpsuit is the way to go. Ahead, you can shop the one I own, in addition to a few other favorites on my wish list. Keep reading to check them all out. 13 Eco-Friendly Red Carpet Looks We’re Still Talking About Today
April 23, 2020 at 08:16PM If there’s one thing I’ve learned through the years, it’s that eco-friendly gowns are nothing to scoff at. While some celebrities have been wearing archival vintage pieces as a nod to sustainability, others have been teaming up with designers to come up with creative ways to go completely green. While there have been plenty of A-listers over the years who have championed sustainable fashion on the red carpet, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the queen of eco-friendly fashion, Emma Watson. The actress was one of the first to “go green” on the red carpet. I’m still not over Emma’s black-and-white Calvin Klein Collection Met Gala dress, which she wore in 2016. You wouldn’t be able to tell by looking at it, but the stunning gown was made out of plastic bottles! That year, she joined Margot Robbie, who wore a cutout gown, and Lupita Nyong’o, who wore a shimmery green number, both of which were eco-friendly pieces by Calvin Klein. Stella McCartney, Louis Vuitton, and Versace have all also created gorgeous sustainable red carpet gowns that we’re still dreaming about. Keep reading to take a look back at some of the most memorable eco-friendly red carpet moments ahead. 16 Kate Hudson Movie Outfits I’m Saving in My Back Pocket For Spring
April 23, 2020 at 08:08PM Kate Hudson‘s early 2000s movies are my prime suggestion right now for content worth absorbing during the lockdown. You’re probably like, “Yes Sarah, we know. You already dressed up like her *eye roll*.” But it’s not just How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days that’s chock-full of outfits I’d rather be wearing. I still watch Fool’s Gold obsessively before packing my bag for the beach because Kate’s character Tess reminds me to include my printed headband – no bikini is complete without it! And I still eagerly await Liv’s next outfit in Bride Wars, even though I’ve seen that movie like 10,000 times. But IDK man, that strapless Vera Wang wedding gown just gets more and more majestic every time I see it. Right now though, I’m hyper-focused on the everyday looks that I can memorize as I slowly build up my Spring wardrobe in anticipation of better, brighter days ahead. Being that a lot of 2020 trends involve incorporating styles we saw gain popularity in the late ’90s/early aughts, the characters Kate Hudson plays in some of her greatest films – You, Me and Dupree, Le Divorce, Raising Helen, and the list goes on – are filling up my mood board. Scroll down to see which outfits I fully intend on re-creating, and just try to pick a favorite. Barbie Was “Fashionably Late” to the Pillow Challenge, But Really, She’s Always on Time
April 23, 2020 at 07:04PM View this post on Instagram A post shared by Barbie® (@barbiestyle) on Apr 23, 2020 at 8:34am PDT How does Barbie dress when there are no space missions to embark on and dream houses to visit? Like many others staying home right now, she gets her inspiration from Instagram. The iconic doll recently participated in the popular, fashion-approved Pillow Challenge, which asks people to put together an outfit simply using a belt and – you guessed it – pillow. “Staying at home or becoming the home,” Barbie wrote on Instagram, “Thought it was only fitting to show up fashionably late to the #PillowChallenge.” In participating, Barbie joins the ranks of Tracee Ellis Ross and Anne Hathaway, whose take on the challenge also involved a nod to her beloved Princess Diaries character, Mia Thermopolis. Related: Whitney Port Is Dressing Up Like Classic Movie Characters on Instagram – Can We Join? Though this whole thing certainly falls under the phrase, “I can’t believe I’m even saying this,” what we’re actually most surprised about is Barbie’s sartorial choices. Who knew she’d pair her pillow with such an edgy belt? And it seems so unlike her to leave the bed unmade while she posed for her photo! We’re learning all sorts of new things about Barbie during this time. Enjoy her take on the challenge above, and stay tuned for her next post, which at this point we can assume will involve Barbie perfecting her sourdough starter. Continue Reading…
Leggings ARE Pants – Here’s How to Style Them
April 23, 2020 at 06:05PM Lately, I’ve been admiring all the great leggings outfits on Instagram. People seem to be genuinely excited to style outfits around them and sharing their looks proactively. I always find that some of my style icons who veer on the sportier side will, every so often, throw up a sports-bra mirror selfie or a quick snap after a yoga workout, but rarely are we thrilled to construct adorable looks with a tie-dye legging set. Sheltering in place has seemed to change that, and I, for one, am glad for it. Even though there’s definitely still a strong appeal behind the sweat-chic look – from white joggers to the high-waisted variation – leggings have always been a tried-and-true athleisure staple, and they’re great for a quick walk around the block, too. Some of our favorite leggings, from the likes of Everlane, H&M, and, of course, Kim Kardashian’s newly iconic Skims label, are also made with cute little details that elevate an outfit instantly. I frankly can’t wait to tuck in my white tee to Zara’s button-front pair and finish with a blazer, loafers, and headband for my next Zoom meeting (Blair Waldorf, but make it WFH fashion, am I right?). Scroll through for a few ideas, some of which have suggestions for outerwear if you do have to step out, then shop some great leggings available now. What’s Behind Vogue’s Rose Cover? Postcards From Kendall Jenner, Ashley Graham, and More
April 23, 2020 at 04:11PM Vogue has released a special issue titled “Our Common Thread” for its June/July 2020 feature, introduced with a powerful editor’s letter from Anna Wintour. Anna touches on the challenges our world has faced over the course of the past month and beyond, and hopes the rose she chose for the cover, an unpublished photograph called Rose ‘Colour Wonder’ by Irving Penn from 1970, paints the picture of joy and hope. “Mr. Penn’s decades of pictures for Vogue were always adept at conveying both deep emotion and journalistic acuity. I was always proud of every image of his that we published, and this one is no different. I’m also pretty sure that he would have loved it,” she wrote. “Our Common Thread” refers to the fundraising video series launched by the publication and the CFDA weeks ago – a platform where designers and industry leaders are invited to talk about how their businesses have been affected by the COVID-19 crisis. Hearing from the fashion world is also, appropriately, the theme of the magazine for the season. In addition to the powerful cover (it’s the first time the cover has taken the form of a still-life in more than 50 years), Vogue asked models, designers, editors, artists, celebrities, and photographers to send postcards from home that reflect their shifting routines and lives during lockdown. They are all a form of beautiful self-expression that can be appreciated for both image and text, and you’ll love reading them. When
Ashley Graham Has Just the Outfit For “Suburbia Fashion Week” – and No, It’s Not Pajamas
April 23, 2020 at 03:25AM View this post on Instagram A post shared by A S H L E Y G R A H A M (@ashleygraham) on Apr 22, 2020 at 10:09am PDT Ashley Graham is coining the term “Suburbia Fashion Week,” and she has a runway-ready outfit to submit: her striped set from Marina Rinaldi. The model (and new mom!) posted a photo on Wednesday of her black satin trousers and button-down top. I mustered up the motivation to actually change out of my well-worn sweatshirt today and put on jeans, so I understand the desire to get dressed up during this stay-at-home period. It’s refreshing! Marina Rinaldi is a go-to brand for Ashley; she wore the designer before giving birth to her son Isaac, too. Ashley elevated her set even further by adding a pair of sunglasses and a pulled-back bun. I’m stealing that trick the next time I head to the grocery store – whether or not I’m wearing a chic outfit. Continue Reading… Author Karenna Meredith | Popsugar Selected by CWC

Rue’s Euphoria Hoodie Is Being Auctioned For Over $3,000 – and the Money Goes to NY Hospitals
April 22, 2020 at 11:42PM Ever wonder what happened to Rue’s iconic purple hoodie from Euphoria? How about the 33-pound May Queen flower gown from Midsommar? Well, wonder no more, because A24 is pulling the pieces from storage for a good cause. On April 22, the movie studio began putting popular props and costumes from its 2019 films and TV shows up for auction. The proceeds will go to several different charities benefitting novel coronavirus (COVID-19) relief, including Queens Community House, the FDNY Foundation, Food Bank For New York City, and NYC Health and Hospitals. Since these pieces are one-of-a-kind, the bidding has already risen far beyond what my bank account can stomach, but I’m excited for someone else to own these fashion pieces – appreciate each of the 10,000 silk flowers sewn to the Florence Pugh’s Midsommar gown. Ahead, I’ve rounded up the three fashion items I’m most excited to see up for auction. Let the bids begin! Continue Reading… Author Karenna Meredith | Popsugar Selected by CWC
