July 04, 2020 at 05:21AM I’ve known my best friend, Lotte Williams (ASOS Insider and all-around wonderful human), for over 11 years now. That’s 11 years of sharing outfits, gossip and skincare tips. But it wasn’t until recently that I discovered the £15 product that she swears by. From the image below, you can clearly see Lotte has amazing skin. She’s blessed with great genes, but she also struggles with breakouts like the rest of us. However, it’s this one product that she turns to time and time again to give her a dewy, even complexion. The product in question? No7’s Stay Perfect Foundation. When I finally asked Lotte what foundation she used (it only took me over a decade), I wasn’t expecting it to be a No7 product. So what is it about this foundation in particular that Lotte loves? She told me that while she can’t remember how she discovered it, when she went into a shop to be shade-matched, she was pleasantly surprised they had a shade pale enough for her. She went on to tell me that part of the reason she’s so obsessed with it is down to the coverage. It’s not too heavy and still allows her skin to shine through. She uses three pumps daily and blends it into her skin using a Beautyblender. The result? A super-even, fresh finish. Lotte says, “If I had a pound for every time someone had mentioned how great my skin looked and what foundation I use, I’d be

July 04, 2020 at 05:00AM As we’ve been spending time cleaning out our wardrobesover the last few months, we’ve gone over a smattering of pieces—from basics to jeans—that we’re thinking of getting rid of in favour of other items. Well, today we’re going to focus on the summer items we potentially want to ditch as we head into those warmer-weather months. Below you’ll uncover a range of summer pieces our fashion editors will never remove from their wardrobes given their versatile and inherently chic nature. Alternatively, you’ll also spot a selection of items our team members aren’t as into at the moment. 18 Fringes That Suit Everyone, According to Hair Experts
July 03, 2020 at 06:30PM Cutting in a fringe can seem like a big commitment, yet it’s a hairstyle most of us have likely at least considered over the years. Fringes come in all types of shapes and cuts, and there are some that can suit everyone, with others being a little harder to pull off, depending on your face shape and how you style your hair. If you’re currently feeling tempted by a fringe, there are certain looks that can suit any of us, regardless of these elements. “A parted sweeping fringe will suit any face shape,” explains Maxine Cooke, a creative stylist at Nicola Clarke at John Frieda salons. “The length just needs to be adjusted to complement the face shape.” Maxine also recommends opting for a side-swept fringe if you want minimum commitment, and Paul Windle, the founder of Windle London, suggests picking a fine long fringe with a couple of sections, getting longer from the centre into the sides. As for which styles can be hardest to pull off, Maxine says micro-fringe requires a lot of commitment. “That being said,” she explains, “when it’s done right on the right person, it’s the most striking and beautifully edgy fringe there is.” And while we do urge that you wait until you can get to salon before you take the plunge, taking inspiration from these 18 chic fringe hairstyles can’t hurt, right? The classic fringe style for a bold, timeless look. Game of Thrones’ Sophie Turner tries on a full fringe for style, which was cut

July 03, 2020 at 01:58PM For years, Arket has been a brand that customers have learned to depend on for quality items with a minimalist appeal. How Natasha Roberts Builds Community Through Her Toronto Vintage Store
July 03, 2020 at 02:00PM It’s very satisfying to see something come full circle. And no one knows that better than Natasha Roberts, owner of the charming Toronto boutique, Space Vintage. Roberts comes by her retail prowess thanks to a strong example set by her mother, Ashlene; at a young age, Roberts understood the power of wellness and community through spending time at her mom’s spa, located in Toronto’s Mirvish Village neighbourhood. An underground haven complete with a water feature, the spa was like an oasis in Toronto’s bustling Annex area. A small rack of clothing was set up in the soothing spot–“Fashion was always a part of my mom’s life,” Roberts says–and through word-of-mouth, interest in the finery being sold was swiftly generated. “Demand started to grow,” she recalls. “And we changed the spa into Space Vintage.” It became so popular, the likes of Nelly Furtado and Rachel McAdams were counted as fans of the store when it came to finding pieces for event dressing, After nearly two fruitful decades in the same location, the demolition of Toronto’s famed Honest Ed’s building and the rest of the surrounding block of businesses meant Space was in need of, well, a new one. “We were displaced, and it was kind of miraculous to find somewhere in Kensington,” Roberts says, noting that her mother shopped in the iconic neighbourhood and dreamed of having a store there. “There was just something about it that was full circle.” View this post on Instagram A
8 Nineties-Approved High Cut Swimsuits to Rock This Summer
July 03, 2020 at 01:00PM If our Instagram feed is any indiction of trends (which we all know it is), the most major style of swimwear right now is the ’90s high cut silhouette. Bloggers and celebs have adopted hip-baring high cut swimsuits in all colours and prints for a few seasons now and it’s showing no sign of slowing down anytime soon. For those wary of the shape, the high cut hip flatters and elongates the leg to almost supermodel status. Let a hint of skin peek out on your hip while wearing a one-piece and jean shorts or show show off your lengthy legs with a high slit in your bathing suit cover up. Test drive one of these styles this long weekend but make sure to double up on sunscreen on the freshly exposed areas. Click though for our favourite high cut swimsuits:
Friday Faves
July 03, 2020 at 11:26AM Hi friends! Happy Friday! I hope you had a lovely week. It started off as a bit of a rough one over here – I was just feeling a bit overwhelmed and emotional about everything going on – but these two little monkeys have really lifted my spirits, even though they probably didn’t know I was in a funk. The Pilot was gone this week, so the girls and I enjoyed our slow mornings, did some baking and crafts, and swam every single day. P has been swimming more often without her puddle jumper, which is a huge deal! We’re still cranking away on redoing our bedroom. I ordered some new furniture from West Elm and figured I should list our furniture on Facebook Marketplace. I thought it would take a week or so to sell everything, but it was all sold and gone by that night. For now, we’re sleeping on our mattress on the floor. The new bedroom reveal post should be ready soon. (I think Bella is convinced we put the mattress on the floor purely for her convenience.) It’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your faves, too, so please shout out something you’re loving in the comments section below. Read, watch, listen: Hamilton is on Disney+ tonight and I CAN’T WAIT. Scared of Prints? Here’s the Masterclass on How to Wear Them
July 03, 2020 at 11:30AM When it comes to Instagram, I am a repeat offender. I know what I like and tend to stick to the accounts I love the most. One influencer that I always go back to over and over for fashion inspiration is Nnenna Echem. The stylist and fashion editor first entered my radar a couple of years ago, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Why? Well, she’s fearless when it comes to trying out new combinations of silhouettes or colours. But where she really shines is her ability to clash prints with bright colours like no one else. I decided to ask her what her best tips are and how she manages to pull it off every time. “When I first started to wear prints I remember that I didn’t like to mix different prints at the same time. But that was because I didn’t have a connection between the different parts of the outfit, so it didn’t look put-together. Today I can wear several prints. If the prints or patterns in your outfit don’t match, then you have to make sure that the colours in your outfit do. When I say match, I mean that the colour combination should match (e.g., pink and lilac, and mint green and sky blue). You can wear a pastel-blue blazer with zebra prints with a pink leo print skirt because the colours go well together.” “The more you experiment with colours and prints, the more you learn and discover new combinations. You should definitely
