These efforts certainly helped to ease the loss of fashion’s biggest night, but personally, I still held out hope to see what celebrities were planning to wear had the event gone through. Enter: Katy Perry. The “Never Worn White” singer gave fans a glimpse of the beginnings of her Met Gala outfit on May 4, and it looks like an iconic homage to another pop sensation: Madonna. Katy’s coned corset ensemble came courtesy of Jean Paul Gaultier, the same designer who created Madonna’s memorable Blonde Ambition: World Tour bra back in 1990. Katy’s corset, however, would have also framed her pregnant belly – putting her daughter with Orlando Bloom front and center. Slowly but surely, people are starting to venture outside as the season changes, showing off new swimwear in some of these bold shades or breezy house dresses that will eventually become cover-ups when it gets warm enough to soak up the sun. I Looked at Over 400 Pants at Old Navy and Found the Most Comfortable Pair – They’re Not Sweats!
May 05, 2020 at 06:40PM I upgraded my loungewear collection with a number of matching sweats. Then, as much as I loved them, I hit a wall and felt like I needed to find some real pants. I think the sentiment I shared with coworkers was something like, “I have got to find some real pants.” Maybe a curse word was in there somewhere too. I headed over to Old Navy, scrolled through over 400 pairs of pants until I found a pair that looked like it had promise. The Mid-Rise Soft-Twill Utility Pants ($25, originally $40) was exactly what I was looking for. I immediately gravitated to the drawstring – I draw the line at zippers and buttons right now – and purchased them in the army green shade.
